BORSAO SELECTION
D.O./Zone: Campo de Borja - Aragon - Spain
Type of wine: Red
Variety: Syrah, Garnacha, Tempranillo
Degree of alcohol: 14.5% Vol.
Service Temperature: 16ºC
Elaboration: Borsao Tinto Selección is a young red wine from the D.O. Campo De Borja produced by the Borsao winery. It is a blend of Garnacha Roja (85%), Tempranillo (10%) and Syrah (5%). The grapes used by Borsao Tinto Selección grow in young vineyards between 15 and 25 years old. These are found on clay-limestone, stony and silty soils. Borsao Tinto Selección goes through a skin maceration of 3 or 4 days. The entire maceration process lasts up to 10 or 12 days. Each variety ferments separately in stainless steel tanks at a constantly controlled temperature of around 22-24º.
Tasting Notes: It is a young, fruity and expressive red wine. Yet another vintage shows its excellent value for money. Sweet nose, with lots of red fruit, on the palate it is silky, agile and very long.
